Is there supposed to be a gap around the fog lights (2013 CX-5)

:
2013 CX5-GS, AWD
My car was in an accident about a month ago and the front bumper had to be replaced. I noticed this morning that there is a small gap between the fog light lens and the bumper housing/skin. I'm thinking its probably normal except it's a slightly bigger gap on the passenger side (maybe a 1/2") and almost non-existent on the driver side (less than 1/4"). The passenger side light also appears to be slightly skewed from left to right (the gap is bigger on one side than the other). I'm trying to determine if the light wasn't installed correctly or if the bumper is slightly askew. Everything else (headlights, hood, etc appear to match up perfectly.) I've pushed on various areas to see if anything can be manipulated and its all tight and doesn't appear to be the result of something not being fastened down tightly..

I'll try and post pics later, but for those 2013 owners, do your fog lights sit flush with/in the bumper housings or is there a bit of a gap around them and if so, is the gap more or less uniform?

I'm not too worried as I'm guessing it probably wasn't aligned well when the bumper was re-assembled. I'm more just curious as I can't remember the "before" state.

Thanks!

So I'm going to assume you're talking about the gap between the glass light and the black decorative "honeycomb" bezel that surrounds the glass (and NOT a gap between the bezel and the body colored bumper cover (valance). Yes, there is a gap on my unmolested 2013 Touring (GS in you world) which varies from 1/8"-1/4" around the circumference. If you've got a gap of 1/4"-1/2" my guess is they didn't adjust the lights very well when they put the front end back together OR they used an aftermarket cover which was not built to the same tolerance as an EO valance, resulting in the appearance of misalignment in that area.

Most likely it's as simple as the housing not being screwed in the housing at the same spot as before (if theybwere ever "even").

Thanks, yes I meant between the light and the black grill part. I looked at it again and I think its just due to the aftermarket bumper cover not fitting as tightly, or perhaps not installed 100% straight. It doesn't bother me really.
