is there such a thing as a coax tansmitter?

I have my TV on one side of my place but in order to get the most HD signals my indoor terk antenna needs to be all the way on the other end in the kitchen....

right now I have a long piece of coax from one strewn all over the floor to the other and I was going to drill some holes and run the wire through the basement but even so I would then have coax on my kitchen counter. Is there such a thing as a transmitter? Something I could plug into the coax input on my TV and then plug another one into the HD Antenna and have them talk to each other over 900mhz or something?

(uhm)

Personally I would get an old vcr, like one that the tape part is broken, they throw these out, and use it to demodulate and convert to RCA, then just get a Audio/Video transmitter/reciever. Plug transmitter into the RCA plug on said broken vcr and reciever into said tv.
(-:

Hope that helps, I have never heard of a transmitter/reciever for raw TV antenna signals, suppose you could build one yourself, wouldn't get as clear an image though...

The reciever/transmitter combos, like 100meters, prob 30-40meters inside are about $150AUD, don't know what price where you live...
