is there any way to convert a 2000 mazda protege es to a 01-03 mazda speed/mp3?

i own a 2000 mazda protege es. i love the car, but the only thing i hate is the front grille. i was just wondering if there was any way to convert the front grill so it resembles that of the 01-03 proteges. i really love the 01-03 speed, but i dont wanna have to sell my car just so i can buy a new one. if anyone can help that'd be great! thanks

The front grill won't just swap over. You need to replace the whole bumper cover and maybe the lights and hood.

Either way this is the wrong place to post this you'll get better results posting in the 2000 protege section or appearence section

plus, that way you don't have to mess with fenders, lights, hood, etc

ohhh wow. that looks amazing=). and its only 265 bucks?! that includes getting rid of that ugly silver piece on the front grille? thats exactly what is looks like after you put that front bumper on? and how much was your paintjob?

Grille and lip are extra. That isn't my car, but I'd suspect paint might cost a couple hundred or so.

Paint for a bumper should be $100-$200 depending on the color.

You could buy that lip from DG and modify it so it would fit the bumper correctly.

You'll need the grille that fits that bumper (not the 01-03 grille). Your stock hood would still be fine, I believe.

Good question. I thought Corksport had them but I don't see them on their site now.
