is the turbo engine that heavy?

Hello from south jersey- new member looking at buying a 2010 cx7.

I test drove the 2.5 na cx7 and was pretty impressed with the acceleration.
One thing I noticed is the weight diff compared to the turbo.

The 2.5 sport weighs in at 3496 while the turbo touring fwd is at 3787 lbs.

I guess the weight diff is in the -

1. turbo engine
2. six speed tranny
3. leather heated seats
4. 18 inch wheels and tires

Still 300 lbs seems like a lot of xtra weight.

Anybody have any info on what the turbo engine actually weighs compared the the 2.5 na.

I read that the turbocharger and associated pluming added 53 lbs to the vehicle. If I can find the link I will post back. Ed

If you thought the 2.5 was impressive, do yourself a favor and DON'T drive the 2.3T.
