Is the new Pearl White MS3...

just like the white on the regular 2.3S Wagon? Im trying to get a feel for it on some of the cars I see here in San Jose..

There is two colors of white (well at least here in canada) there is a flat white that I think is called somthing like sport white and then there is the Crystal Pearl white which has flakes of pearl in it.

Just got back from the dealer here in Rhode Island. My brother works for the BMW dealership associated with the Mazda one and he brought me over to the GSM.

There are two whites. Sport white is not available on the Speed3. The Crystal Pearl White will be available with an additional cost. Dealers cannot order the white or gray colors as yet and the GSM said he did not know when Mazda would open up the ordering system for the 2008.5 models. I'm sure some dealers will take deposits to hold a spot in line but they cannot order yet.

I'm torn between the two colors but he said he would place an order for one of each out of his allocation and then let me know when they come in. I'm going to keep in touch with the GSM and provide any updates when they become available.

I have a pearl white mazda 5 though and I think it's a great color.

tell the GSM to check again. you could start ordering the 2008.5 when the original update came out in november. most dealers already have them scheduled to be built. oh in case you are wondering i work at a dealer and handle the new car inventory. the cars are being built this month and be looking for a march delivery.

In the states there are a few minor interior changes and 2 new colour options during the second half of the 2008 build year. Other than that no difference.

he's right on price. it hasn't been updated yet, but i promise you that you can still order them. myself and my GM went on and ordered my white in december.

You can order them now for sure. I am ordering a 2008.5 MS3 GT CWP here in Italy next week from a military car dealer for delivery stateside in July. The quote sheet for the 2008.5 has it listed as an MS3RS with GT (MCS Model - RS3S). The old 2008 was listed as an MS3S with GT (MCS Model - MS3S).

Pricing:
My price for the 2008.5 above is $22,900 (still trying to get it lower) but the MSRP is listed as 24,055, CWP paint is $175.00, with a full bumper to bumper ext warranty 6yr/75k for $800. All of this before taxes, etc.
