Okay this may be stupid but I notice everyone talking about how easy they get wheelspin or wheelhop in first and second gear when they turn DSC off.
Now... if I launch agressively, either drop or slip the clutch with the revs up, yeah I can get the wheels to spin. But if I'm already rolling in 1st... any speed... 5, 10, 15mph, whatever, and punch it, I get NO wheelspin or hop. Same thing in second... I can get the wheels to chirp IF shift very quickly, and I can chirp third if I don't let off that gas all the way during the shift and keep the revs up.
But I see people talking about how they have traction issues in first and second with DSC turned off, and I simply do not have this happen at all. Are people just exaggerating or am I misunderstanding? Or is something wrong with my car??
I even did that 'trick' that's been floating around where you turn the DSC off immediately after starting the car and then the traction control light stays lit as well... no spin or hop in any gear unless I launch agressively.
I even tried turning DSC off when it rained the other day. The rain had stopped but the ground was still somewhat wet. I could get the tires to break loose in first from a roll, but not in second. WTF???
Bone stock car with about 800 miles on it.
