is my clutch slipping?

i get this weird groaning sound right around 4k rpms while i'm in 2nd or 3rd. it sounds exactly like if you try to shift out of gear without using the clutch. i don't hear it in 1st...4th and 5th i'm not sure. and the weird thing is, it stopped after i drove around for maybe 15 min. i've never launched my car before so i doubt it's the clutch but what else could it be?

Sounds like turbo squeel to me. I only get it in a few gears under the right condition. You may want to explain it a little more (clunk, bang, squeeky, ca-jungle snap, kapow, wibble wibble, rickie a rickie...)

it's not turbo squeal...i can hear that perfectly. this is more of a...well it sounds like i said before. put a slight pressure on the shifter as if to shift out of gear without using the clutch, and that's the sound i get. i guess like a low buzz that dies off quickly. i have no idea if that helps or not

could just be gear noise, which can be normal in some conditions and engine speeds...Check your gearbox and diff seals for leaks. If the fluid level is fine with no leaks at all then everything should be fine...If it really bothers you or gets worse, take it to the dealership and have them look at it....

Yeah doesn't sound like a clutch. . .unless something else was really wrong with it. . .

weird stuff....another member said it may be my bpv leaking...maybe i should get a boost gauge soon.
