Is Megan Racing Coilovers any good?

I have bilstein shocks on order and been waiting for it for quite a while(a bit inpatient),then I saw some vendors selling Megan Racing Coilovers for great price($400 off plus free rear camber kit+strut bar),has anyone experienced or heard about them before? I searched around and found good reviews from wrx/rsx customers, but very few MS3/MS6 users...

I know we get what we pay for,but I don't plan to track my car and having the ability to raise the car back to stock height for the winter is very tempting, also it seems taking forever to get the bilstein shocks and my oem rear shocks are leaking pretty bad now,so I just wanna know if it's worth to give these coilovers a try.

Any words will be appreciated!

How much are they retail if they're giving $400 off the price?

The Megan Coilovers are pretty much the same as BC coilovers with a stiffer spring rate. They're on the cheaper side of coilovers, but will do the job.

Seriously, what's the price of them and from where? If it's cheap enough I'd say they are a good enough deal to try. If not, I wouldn't trust anything lower than BCs. I personally really like the H&R's, but will probably get BCs since they are a bit cheaper and come with adjustable camber already.

did U mean how much is they? ;-)

Sorry about the confusion,I'm in canada and the price we pay for these things are much higher(shipping/customs).They are retailed for $1500+taxes and now $1049+txs w/ free rear camber kit and strut bar,H&R are retailed for around 1600+taxes

But I'm leaning toward bilstein shocks now after reading those reviews, and the snow/salt we get here will probably cause them to break even sooner...

I bought a set of the megan racing coilovers back when I had my evo 8. they were the street version though so theywere 8/6 instead of the 10/8 that the racing spec ones are/were. I will agree with the above post about how they degrade over time, mine only lasted a year before they were making "rebuild me" noises and that was with all daily driving the car and I was usually on a pretty soft setting since we just had a baby boy at the time. I really only bought these because my rears were blown and I didn't have much money at the time due to the addition to the family or I would've went with something better.

I might still have some pictures of them in the box and on the car if you're still interested in getting them and want some pics let me know and I'll try to dig them up

+1. I purchased a set of Megan racing coilovers for my MS3 about a year ago. My mechanic told me to return them as the rear spring perch was a hassle to install and adjust, plus they don't hold up well in rain/snow/salt. They are also expensive to rebuild and tend to blow out often. I've done some research and apparently they are similar to the lowest level BC coilover.
I eventually gave up on the coilovers and went with Koni FSD shocks with the original OEM spring. This is a much better DD ride than I thought and it handles well for my occasional track day with my front/rear COBB sways.

I had BC's and they were okay. They did the job for my DD and aggressive drives. As for adjusting the rear, it wasn't that hard to to uninstall the perch to lower the rears. It was just another bolt you had to take off. I wish the rear of the MS3 wasn't a multi-link setup because a regular shock/strut and adjustable coil setup is just easier to adjust.
