Is it worth installing a hood yourself? Is it hard?

really, why would the latch give when the hood is lighter?
i can see the same amount of upforce (wind coming from under hood), but less downforce (weight of hood), so the latch has to work harder than it does stock and is more likely to fail. but still, there is no need for hood pins, and installing both hood pins (if you choose) and the hood should be a driveway job. even a girl gave you s*** for this :)

#1 I disagree. Why would the latch have to work harder? If it's a vented hood there will be less underhood pressure and that means less 'upforce.'

#2 You don't need hood pins.

#3 Hood pins are gay.

#4 most.pointless.thread.ever.

#1 i wasn't thinking vented, i was thinking normal, my bad

#2 yep

#3 on most cars, yep

#4 no, there have been far more pointless threads, most of which ask the same question that has been answered 50 times already

True, I don't think if he ever mentioned if it was vented or not, I was just assuming too.

Very true. BTW, why's my car gobbling at me? OH, and how much can I turn the boost up?;) :P
