iPhone Bluetooth - Low volume

Anyone else had a problem with audio over bluetooth being very low volume compared to other sources (e.g. radio) ?

I'm using an iPhone 4S on iOS5, but when listening via bluetooth I need to crank the volume up to around 40 to be able to hear it at a reasonable level. When listening to the radio, a value of 10-12 is approximately the same volume level.

Any ideas?

You need to turn the volume up on the phone, I think it says that it the manual. It sucks, but is the only option.

I didn't realise you could adjust the volume on the phone as well. My phone was set to very low volume when connected by bluetooth, hence the problem.
