Its still in the works but it will be a great product. Mazda Forums - HKS C-Ti 3in Exhaust System. Also cullen is a great guy to deal with.
um, you do realize that he is charging $1300 for something that you could get done at a local muffler shop for $500...i know because that is exactly what i have and if you look in the pictures that he posted, it is all crush bent...just FYI, not worth the money IMO

The actual system is mandrel bent with 3inch stainless steel piping. Also it has a HKS Carbon TI Muffler which costs $350 for just that alone. If you can get a full 3inch exhaust from a local muffler shop for $500 then how come everyone on the forums doesnt have a true turboback?

yeah, i understand about the muffler adding some cost to the price of the system and if it is mandrel bent with stainless, then obviously that is a different story, but does this replace the actual S-pipe? it doesn't matter to me one way or another, just trying to give you heads up of what i saw in the pictures...

As I remember from the OLD Ion threads it was the first true turbo-back. They combined the S-Pipe and J-Pipe into a cool looking piece with a seperate channel for the blowoff valve.

The actual system will replace everything from the turboback so yes the spipe will be replaced. Its definetly gonna be one of the nicest looking exhausts out for our cars and that price does include shipping

799 isnt that bad.. i would have defently bought it if he had it back then...
think about it apexr1 is selling the catless 3 inch midpipe for 400.. i think the S pipe and the cat is worth another 400.
im just really pissed that he didnt offer this when i wanted it :(

btw who the hell would pay 350 dollars for a muffler???? get a 50 dollar ebay muffler and buy somthing else for 300.. its not like it makes that much diffrence or looks THAT much better

Because some people want quality mufflers not some cheap ebay muffler for $50. And there is a big difference sound wise. You get what you pay for.

believe me. im really picky but after hearing both i wouldnt pay that much for the HKS

Thats still a lot of money. And you can get custom 3" turbo back for that. I'm just planning on getting a 2.5" or 3" apex downpipe with a cat and a cutout. Then whenever someone makes a 3" S pipe I'll buy that.

^^ thats a good idea
im still waiting for my 3 inch midpie with high flow cat .. from essential speed. its been 3 months

Wow, I wouldn't go that far. I think that $700-800 for a tested turboback would be a good price. I understand that the s-pipe is the hardest part to make, and we are paying for the research and such, but I also think that by now we should be paying primarily for materials and profit. I'd be willing to pay a premium for that 3" downpipe, but if I'm spending $800, it better come with the rest of the exhaust. This ain't no Supra...

well, then i agree that it should be a nice system, but i still think it is too much money to pay for a complete exhaust system....
