Intermittent key problems

Just wondering if anyone has experience the following symptoms

sometimes both buttons doesn't work
soemtimes 1 button works
soemtimes both button works

I did notice the time it was not working the light does come on.

I did notice the time it was not working the light does come on.

I had trouble with one of my fobs at first. They tried to reprogram but that didn't work and they eneded up ordering me a new one.

I have no problem locking and unlocking the doors with the key fobs, but the panic button doesn't seem to work. Should the alarm be set off when I press the panic button?

i had the same problem...so i took it apart and bend the little thing that connects with the battery....i dont know whats its called. but it touches the battery, and i bent a bit so it completely gets in contact with the battery...and not a problem ever since...

Had the dealer replace mine over 2 weeks ago for same thing you going thru. So far everything fine. zoomzoom

I noticed on my fob that the panic button requires you to hold it down for a few seconds before the horn starts going. Which means that my 1.5 year old takes MUCH longer to get the neighbors mad when she finds the Mazda key than when she finds my F150 key - which starts blaring just as soon as you push the button.

Its also less likely to go off when change jams against it in my pocket.

I like it.

Panic button is PUSH AND HOLD not momentary

Thanks for the tips on the panic button. It's good to know how it works when I can't find my car in the parking lot next time.
