That is a great idea. I thought I saw a MP3 have one afew years back? It was located right below the cup holders. It looked pretty good. I also saw one under the hood. Where all the ac specs are.

i think it looks good!! im placing mine under the hood right in front of the radiator but off set somewhat!

Maybe someone who's close to 03msp can contact him with this idea. He's the one that had all the gauge panels, dead pedal and msp fog brackets. He's already got the experience, just need to see if he'll take on a new product.

Oh yeah, and even though I no longer own a MSP because of it being totalled, I would still be buying one of these. I'll put it next to the front license plate which I stole from the junkyard before the insurance company took the car (and handed in the remaining plate to the DMV)

yeah, i can do colors. I would have to do like 4-5 colors only though just so i can do a bunch at a time rather than one at a time. I can get them backed in plastic easily, they will just snap in...

Anyone have any ideas about artwork? mazdaspeed protege or MSP or even an msprotege.com style?

Well, adding the year would be difficult just because i would have to make 2 different moulds for the same series... I am leaning towards this

Mazdaspeed (in badge font) with "speed" in vehicle color.
#_ _ _ _/4750 (if this the actual total number. correct me if i am wrong).

For the MP3's (if interest is there, i.e. more than 200):
MP 3 in badge font with 3 in vehicle color.
same numbering system.


**Also, i need to discuss the plastic backing. In order to keep costs in check, i need to come out with the same backing on all styles. Can people agree on a universal fitting one? what about the method of attachment? ideas are welcomed.

3M VHB would be good for attachment, that way people can put it wherever they please.

Hmm. I may be able to make something for this. I'll mock something up here in the next few days. It is a great idea, and yesiownaskyline I'm not trying to step on your toes here, What I come up with will be completely different from what you have, maybe the people can vote or something.
