Ok well I looked a bit and didnt see if anyone had taken it apart, like cut it in half to open it up to airflow? I was looking at it today when I was removing it, and was thinking that I could hollow it out and make a direct path to bring cooler air behind the headlight housing where the simota is sitting.

Basically I am thinking about turning it into a scoupe that will bring cooler air into the engine bay, and besides I dont think ill ever put that thing back in unless its for the scoupe...

Anyone got any thoughts on it, yay or nay or go fu%k myself cuz its a dumb idea thats just going to waste a few hours cutting and putting back together for no real benifit?

i know you could take it out. all it really does is impede airflow to begin with. if you take it apart it looks like a damn maze of piping. you are better off just removing it.

well, i've already taken mine out and replaced with an AEM so i guess i can't go in "stock" class for autox - besides which i want to do a header and an exhaust for it as well, which puts me way into a higher class of competition that i'd lose

but, if maybe i gutted the stock box and made it easier to replace before/after an autox race...
