Intake pics

I am trying to decide on an intake I have seen lots of photos of the Injin CAI, but I would like to see how others are configured in the bay. I am not to keen on the idea of moving the coolent bottle for the Injin CAI. I am not even convinced that you will get more air flow in the wheel well versus engine bay.

Thanks in advance for the pics

Hot air is coming off the engine and trapped in the engine bay trying to get out slowly getting sucked right back in by a short ram or cone filter. Placing the intake in the wheel well distances it from the giant heat source (engine) and puts it closer to the yummy fresh stuff:)

Curious, why would moving the coolant be a big deal?

upstop. -=) hows it goin? im from sac to and i have a injen cai installed on my car. i had to relocate the coolant bottle and it is bothering me to so i am buying a replacement coolant tank that i can actually bold down. The injen is nice.. even on a auto it give the car a little more pull and a little more throttle response.
What color p5 do you drive? yellow im assuming? Maybe youve seen my silver one around town. there are pictures of it in the sacramento meet page in the photos section.

You'll be using the stock bracket that holds the coolant anyway, you just need to move around a bit, it won't hurt the engine. :)

you mean the clamp that goes around the silicone connectors? those you should tighten as far as it would go. the aluminum won't expand like steel because its melting point is way higher. make sure you clamp down the filter as tight as you can as well. check it frequently for the first few weeks to make sure it's still on there and then do it once a week when you are washing your car. the black looks good.
