...Unless the engine is purely electrical, it has an intake and exhaust manifold. Any combustion engine will have one, generally.

Mazda makes a great one for the car; It fits like it was designed for it. ;) Naw, just messing with you. The intake manifold would have to be a custom job to get a new one, and the exhaust manifold can be replaced with a header or shorty header. *nods*

Thats what I'm trying to do, learn about the motor before I buy anything :). Oh and I dont support 2 Fast 2 Furious or any other over done "Street racing" movie. Most I have watched in terms of that was Gone in 60 seconds, and the Mischief videos. Peace.

You should look up some sites on the basics of four stroke engines. =) Then go from there. It will give you a basic understanding of the operation and mechanics of cars. And if you're like me, and love reading reference books, pick up a Haynes manual and/or a shop manual, and read as much as you can, then once you find something that puzzles you, look it up, and continue!

Thanks, at least one person on this board with class lol. Most people just flame the new guy, surprised we get so many new members, must because of good memebers like you who answer the problem without being a dickhead. Peace.

=) There's no use in being rude, in my oppinion. 'Treat others...' and all that. At any rate, I didn't notice you were new before, so; Welcome to the boards!

I didn't think we were being rude. You asked a comical question and we chuckled about it. If you can't take a little light ribbing then you' aren't going to last long here.

True, that. ;) Poking fun at people is fine, and I honestly don't think you were being rude. Flaming is rather uncool, however. Damn the flamers!

if you were looking for headers, there are at least two options running on this board now. one is a member with an OBX header (4-2-1) for $250 + shipping from NJ. the other is a GB, that I just joined to get an Ractive header (4-1) when they arrive from Canada for $180-200. there are a few different threads to check to read about people stuck in their ways about headers but once you get through the crap, there is some good info... lotsa crap though
