intake for a protege

i have a 2003 protege i want to know if u can put in a intake for a protege 5 or mazda speed intake in a reg. protege....if anyone knows please let me know?....

which intake did you have in mind?

the protege5 intake will fit, as long as you buy the one appropriate to your transmission (AEM has separate manual and automatic models)

the MSP intake will not work AFAIK

protege5s, mp3s and proteges can all use pretty much the same intakes. exceptions to this are the transmissions as nate said, and the engine size (earlier proteges had 1.8 and 1.6 engines but yours has a 2.0 and will be fine).

the injen and aem intakes for the mazdaspeed protege won't even come close to fitting a stock protege/p5/mp3. totally different.

and no, the MSP intake will NOT fit....its an intake for a TURBO....
