So I'm for sure going to get a MS3 come July, but looking at insurance..Wow. Any recommendation as to what company I should go with. I'm 19 with two speeding ticket both around 15mph over. I go to college. I mean, will putting it under my rents really going to bring it down? any suggestions would be great.

Good luck =D

I am 20 w/ a clean license... and my MSP would have cost me alone 4k a yr... So I am under my father... ONLY way to go, I now pay 1200 a yr

I'm 22. One ticket on my record. I pay $115/mo for full comprehensive, underinsured, etc. I highly recommend at least checking out Esurance. I recently found out they have some shady business practices, such as not paying the glass repair companies when you replace a windshield, so I had to get my windshield replaced somewhere other than Novus and they did a really crappy job. Other than that, they seem pretty decent. Much cheaper than anyone else I can find. That's with $100 deductible btw.

Wow, I guess that's one good thing about being older...

I pay around $180/mo to insure three cars, two of which are higher bracket cars (WRX & SVX).

i pay 225 a month im 24yrs old. I guess it depends where you live too does that not affect the ins rates.

I see. Can you guys include the name of your insurance companies, and if you are the only one on the policy. Appreciate it guys. Seems like there are good deals out there. Just let me know where to look. Thanks

it's really pointless to compare insurance premiums with other people...too many variables to account for. Take a couple hours and get quotes from the websites of the big insurance companies then pick which one gives you the best deal (progressive, state farm, nationwide, allstate, travelers, etc).

Usually if you can narrow down the list to 1-2 you can go into one of their local insurance rep's office and they can usually give you little better deal by fitting you into discounts that may not show online (from my experience). Good Luck.

This man is on point. I was an underwriter for several years for a large insurance company. (think cave man)

comparing will do nothing.

I'm @ $450 every 6 months and I'm married with no accidents! (I have some performance awards though)

You're 19 with 2 speeding tickets at 15mph over. Good luck with that. I pay $1,250 a year with USAA and I'm 31, married, no tickets and one accident (my fault), that should actually come off my record soon since it's coming up on 3 years ago. I also have a multicar discount, so I pay about $2,000 a year total for two cars in NJ, which probably has some of the highest insurance premiums in the country.

shop around online and at agents. since you're young and don't really know what coverages you'll need to protect yourself i would suggest at least talking to an agent who will help figure out what you'll need.

ps - i think this is the first time i've ever seen travelers mentioned. i guess our commercials are working

I had good luck with Liberty Mutual. Every other company I priced was through the roof. I pay $185 a month for full coverage, $500 deductible for my 08' MS3. I'm 22, one speeding ticket almost 3 years ago, should be off the record in August.

Only reason I said it is because I have it :) They saved me a lot of money.

just out of curiosity, did you go through an agent or direct?

oh yea, and thanks for helping pay my salary :)

19 w/ 2 speeding tickets both 15+ over and you're getting a mazdaspeed? Your insurance nightmare is just beginning. I'd put it under your parents assuming they have a good driving record, you'll still be the primary driver so it's still going to be high, but at least you'll save a little. You better slow the hell down though or you're going to screw your insurance for life. You're the type of person I hate because you make my insurance high (young male)....stop fitting the stereotype, haha.
