Yup, putting my third performance mod on the car today...I purchased these hardpipes from a member who just upgraded to a FMIC and got a killer deal.

They're going in today at lunchtime, and I'll post pics and videos tonight.

Soon to be followed by a Apex downpipe with high flow cat, and the spool 2.5" catback exhaust!

your engine bay is going to look hot with those pipes and bov. when you put put that dp and exhaust you will see some power gains and sound.

Definitely ;)

I'm also going to post 'dyno' HP numbers from my Vector FX2 for each part as I add them.

Install went good..it took a little while longer than expected because getting the stock pipes off was a b****...overall it took a bit over an hour.

But they're in, and it sounds awesome! The BOV is adjusted a little bit too tight, it's not opening up at low RPMs so I still have a bit of turkey if I shift under 3K...but over that it's all PSHHHHHHHHTT ;) That will be adjusted tomorrow.

I'm running the GReddy open vent, and the stock BPV recirculating right now...no stalling issues at all. If I rev up high and shift to neutral, the RPMS dip down to 500 for a sec but it never stalls out.

UNFORTUNATELY, when I was about to whip out the camera and camcorder it started to rain :( so pics and vids will have to wait until tomorrow. I'll be taking the car out on my lunch break and shooting some video. Maybe I'll even throw on the Sticky Pod thing I bought last week www.stickypod.com and give it a test.

Definitely! It pulls harder at higher RPMs, and the boost stays steady until redline. Before it would start @ 8, then fall to around 5.5 at redline...now it stays right at 8 all the way.

It's a pretty noticeable difference. I did some baseline runs with the Vector before the install, but was having so much fun listening to the BOV that I forgot to do some runs afterwards lol

the spool hardpipes allow you to keep the stock bpv?

I'm running the GReddy Type S and the stock BPV at the same time...there was an extra nipple on the pipes for the stock BPV (no, they don't come that way)

oh so whoever sold them to you had it custom made? If memory serves the the stock BPV was on a small pipe inbetween the pipe running from the top of the IC to the intake pipe...

I'll post pics of the setup tomorrow. Yes, it was custom made.

The GReddy BOV is installed on the turbo->IC pipe (the same location the stock BPV is located on the stock pipes).

The stock BPV is moved to a nipple on the IC->TB pipe.

The stock BPV vents back into the intake just like before. The GReddy is running open vent.

Hmm, i must be confused. I remember seeing a small pipe mounted inbetween two of the plastic pipes in the engine bay. it was about an inch in diameter(the smaller pipe) and looked like it had some type of valve in the middle. I figured it was the BPV since it looked like it was directing the air back into the intake...

EDIT: I cant wait to see the pics ;) Also how much did you pay for the pipes?

Yes that's the stock BPV running back into the intake. On my setup the greddy is located on the same pipe. But the stock BPV is now connected to the other pipe (the one from the bottom of the intercooler to the engine)

Price was very good...$400 for everything. It's like I got the BOV for free (the hardpipes were $400 new)

Oh ok, i got ya. So the bottom pipe running up to the throttle body has the BPV on it. Did you use the same stock tube that had the valve on it?

hey jersey I'm still trying to get my bumper back up lol. Almost done though needed a little modding /threddjack off

Post Pics of our install ;)

Shot some video on my lunch break. Unfortunately I forgot the external microphone to put in the engine bay, so I had to rig up the sticky pod thing and attach it to the passenger window....the sound is there but it could be a lot better. If I have time I'll make another video tonight with the external mic
