man it's so easy,, i was done in 20 minutes....the hardest part for me was the slip ring.....if you get slip ring pliers it'll be a lot easier.

yea dude..its mad simple except for the snapring..i ****** struggled witht that thing...get a nice set of snap-ring pliers and youll have it done in like 20 min

Only the B&M needs the heck greased out of it.

The absolute hardest part of installing the Kartboy SS for me was removing the console between the seats. Two of the screws are not accessable unless you remove the seats - you cannot slide them forward or back far enough! I ended up using a right-angle screwdriver slid between the seats and the console and took them out 1/4 turn at a time.

Now that is something the instructions never mention...

I didn't have to remove the seats. just slid them all the way foward and boom. Sure they were up all the way?

I bought a used Kartboy shifter. Does the new Kartboy kit come with those aluminium spacers that they show in the instructions? or is that just TWM? Also, where can i get snap ring pliers? Would they have them at autozone?

*Mine didn't come w/ any aluminum spacers..

You do NOT need those spacers. They do come in handy, but it's just to separate the heat shield from the linkage. I just bent it with my hands. No biggie. Also, make SURE you buy the right tool. I can't remember what the name of the tool I bought was, but it wasn't right. The tool should look like fangs that stick into the ring in two places and pull it inward (since the rings natural motion is to spread outward). If Doug (cbcbd) didn't come over with his tool, I would have been dead.

the spacers dont come with the kartboy. Get some snap ring pliers it will make the job go smoother.
