Hi All,
This is my introduction into the Mazda world. I recently purchased an '07 CX-7 FWD for my wife and was looking into updating the stock halogens to HID's. I know there are factory HID housings available but If I can get similar results from an aftermarket kit then that's what I would prefer.
1st, I'm comfortable working on cars. Have updated headlights on a previous car I had (1996 Impala SS) and love working under the hood of my '03 540i. Now, I have researched this upgrade (HID into H7 housings) and have come across 2 options.
Option A: Get an aftermarket H7 HID kit.
Option B: Get an aftermarket D2s kit and buy H7 - d2S adapters.
I've read about a spacer that's required when installing either of these options but I have not seen any pics of these spacers. What would be the best of these 2 options in order to get the best output. I'm sure if I go with the D2S kit I would buy 851212+ bulbs since I would prefer output vs color.
Can someone provide me with their first-hand experience of this upgrade?
Thanks in advance for any information.
