you have us confused Mike...what on earth are you RE-locating your ignition for? or you are saying how to LOCATE our ignition? its IN the column....and of course its ELECTRIC....seeing as how the entire ignition system is ELECTRIC....as is the starter.

I guess you need explain your question better and tell us what you are trying to do.

Sorry about that what I was trying to say was how do you locate our ignition? Also does anyone know what color our tachometer wire is?

I gotcha here man. I just finished installing my Sport-Comp Silver tach in mine. Look under your hood in the drivers corner at the diagnostics connector and find the purple and white wire. That is the wire to tap into it is your tach signal wire.

Why install a 2nd tach???

chdesign, you should write a HOW TO on how to install boost guages, etc.

Is that all the wirring near the battery. That is coming from the spark plugs. I know a really dumb question.

The stock tach is highly inaccurate especially at higher RPM's I had mine calibrated at a local shop that does some work for me and once you pass 5000 rpm the stock tach goes way off. Plus once i'm done with my motor I will be pushing a 8200 redline. I'm going to do a How To as soon as I get time to. As for the diagnostics connector. Look in the corner of your engine bay closest to the driver. There is a small gray plug there that has diagnostics written on it. Pull back some of the covering on the wiring harness going to that plug and you will find the purple and white wire.

One more question chdesign, I was trying to make my tach. dim with the rest of my lights on my instrument cluster. Yesterday I had It hooked up on my dimmer switch. But that hook up was weird. When I dimmed my instrument cluster my tach. was bright. When I brightened my instrument cluster my tach. dimmed. Right now I have the light hooked up to the constant power on my dimmer switch.

How did you hook yours up, can you dim your tach. or is it on a constant power?

Once again:confused:

Last one hopefully, have you ever hooked up an air\fuel mixture guage. If so where did you hook-up the violet wire. It's the one that goes to the oxygen sensor signal wire.

Agian any help is appreciated.

:D

Umm well mine stayed on rich over 3500 RPM. Get a volt meter and check the wire. YOu need the wire that is reading between 0 volts and 1 volt.

Actually, you were right about the pink and blue wire, my connection wasn't that good. But I fixed it, so once again thanks for being a big help.

Hopefully I can stop asking these questions, but then again I will be putting the turbo on in about 2 weeks, still waiting to see what M2 performance is going to do.

Thanks again, ooh did you get the money order for the pillar pod?:D
