apocman said:done all four of mine. the sides are not hard at all... just remove the some stuff to get to them and then support the engine if needed with a jack and unbolt and put in the inserts...
terbow said:they go with the mount.
id imagein they are shaped like the holes in the stock one so take ur mount out, put the circle peg in the circle hole (figureatively), and bolt it back up. should be pretty simple.
apocman said:you slip them into the existing mounts, do not try and remove the rubber. I tore one side of one of the mounts trying to get it over a bracket, but i super glued it in and then went to lowes and bought these skinny long bolts with big washers and put them through the two holes that mount insert had and then torqed them down real good they arnt coming off...
I will try find a camera to take pics
apocman said:word of advice get the sofest rear mount they sell, I have the hardest ones in front and back and my car is a ******* back massager, but I like it, but other hate it...
******* crazy thing is people will have me start and stop my engine and have me rev so they can show others that my engine will not move even a ******* centimeter...
I luv it!!!
Rawyzf said:I have the MT Front MM, not sure what durameter that one is. I think it is 90. I have 88 in the rear, haven't driven the car yet though with it in. I will tonight.
I don't mind the vibrations.....my wife might even like them.
Spooled said:I just installed the front mount and both side inserts this weekend. It's really cake, honestly. The hardest part was lining the holes in the mount back up with the frame. Just grab a friend to help you line the stuf up and it will go very smoothly. Also, make sure that you have various extensions and a deep-well 17mm socket for the passenger side. Otherwise you may have problems getting two nuts loosened.
These are the things that you will have to make sure that you have on hand:
Various extensions
Deep-well 17mm
14mm
17mm
10mm
Breaker bar or impact wrench
Break Away spray or similar
Jack
2 jack stands
Short piece of 2x4 or some sort of wood to use in between the jack and the tranny/oil pan (depending on which side insert you are installing). This will preven damaging anything.
It took me about 2 hours total for all 3 mounts. Most of the time was trying to get the passanger-side insert stretched over the mount (I was hesitant about it) and trying to get the holes lines back up.
apocman used long skinny bolts to keep the passenger-side inserts in which is a relly good idea. I just used the supplied zip-ties since I didn't have anything on hand. It worked just fine.
Rawyzf said:Drove with the rear installed last night, it shakes pretty good at low RPM, but it's not to bothersome to me. I'm sure anyone who rides in the car will think otherwise.
The stock rear MM was shredded also, I suggest that anyone with a front MM get the rear installed also.

ONRAILS said:Yea... my rear mount is shredded too. I've been wanting to put an awr in, but I haven't had much time lately. And from the sounds of it... it's a real pita to put in. How did you get your rear one installed? Know any tricks?

Rawyzf said:Thanks for the info.
So...you have to jack it up for side mount installs....or did you only do that to support the front?
apocman said:I did mine when I pulled my engine, but yesterday I had my intake manifold off swapping it for another one and noticed that it would be a peice of cake changing it with the manifold off...
So I would take off your intake manifold and replace the rear mount and then put thr intake manifold back on remember to buy a new intake manifold gasket and use proper torque specs and tightening patters when reinstalling....
it shouldn't take you more than a days work ffor most and alot less for others to get this done.
Delivery_Guy said:Sorry to bring this back from the dead, but I have a question about the AWR side mount inserts. It looks like my passenger mount is torn. Can I still use it with the inserts, or do I need to replace the stock mount first, then get the inserts?
