I am looking at some used equipment. How easy would it be to mount a sub amp (Boston Acoustics GT-22) under my drivers seat?

Thanks.

All depends on the size as to use the stock mounting location, it prob wont fit on stock location, but theres plenty of ways to mount em under the seat. You wont have a problem, unless its to big.

It should fit just fine, my Kicker's are about that same size. Be careful when drilling through the floor, especially on the passenger side, to make sure you don't fit anything important like a fuel line.

I mounted my rather large amp in the spare wheel well area, to the left of the spare is a space that fits nicely. I DID have to carve up the styrofoam trunk floor to clear the amp and wires. Not a HUGE problem for me, but I don't load heavy objects into the trunk. The upside with this installation location is completely invisibility to the passerby. My sub and amp are both in/under the trunk floor, so I didn't loose my cargo space and thieves don't get any bright ideas. I am also still using the factory headunit, and the speaker covers are all still stock. Even the dealer hasn't noticed anything other than "wow the radio in yours sounds so much better than the others"
