i just got done installing an amp and subwoofer and the stuff wont work.

the blue light on the amp is on, but i went to connect the subwoofers and they wouldnt work.

i attached a diagram of how i have it wired up.

is it possible for the amp to be on but not power the subs because of a bad ground?

what kind of amp? Does blue light mean it is on?
Is there a gain pot on the amp? is there a switch for input type? Speaker lead vs. RCA? Hi-Lo switch?
Does your Head Unit have a remote Amp and Power antenna lead?
Easy way to see if your head is pushing a 12v push is to put a test lead to the wire at the amp.
Are you sure the leads to the subs are accurate? not blown? hook up a test speaker?

It could also be that the RCA outputs on your head unit are disabled. Try connecting an iPod to the amp using a headphone-to-RCA wire adapter to see if that works.

(werd) most headunits have the ability to turn off the sub woofer and it probably needs to be turned on.

Ya, check your output controls on your HU. Other than that, make sure you ran your wires correctly/securely.
