Installed my hid headlights and fog lights.

what type of HID kit did u use for the fogs, like did u need all new lenses or what not?? idk how that works, cause i wanted matching fog lights and would prefer HID's but idk anything about it.

fill a brother in!

yea...

yea optimal for vision is 6k. But i wanted it to be really blue.

to anwser your question :

the fog light bulb is 9006 so all i did was take a 9006 hid kit and hook it up instead of the bulb. There is no need for new fog lights or anything of that sort. Strictly plug and play. I got the kit from a local shop down where i live.

are those really 15K, they dont look all that blue, looks almost identical to the 8K I have. Could just be the picture, since its hard to really take pics of light output.

I was personally wanting to go up to 10K tio make it bluer. Looks nice tho!

oh yeah the first 2 pics are juist links and aren't working for me :( I want to see direct front shots if thats what those 2 pics are

Maybe it's just me but I'm starting to hate hids. They are horrible blinding to people in front of cars equipped with them. They always give me headaches. But I like how they look. Congrats on your install though. Looks great.

Properly installed headlights with the correct aiming is all good. However what bugs me are people that installed HIDs into reflector based housings, ugh those are blinding. I've found that projectors/HIDs are only a nuissance when oncoming traffic goes over bumps.

That and people that are so oblivious and don't know they are driving with the Hi-beams on.

I've never really understood why some people go with a 10,000K HID kit.. color or practical use lol hmm which makes more sense.

I had a 8000K and looked more blue than your 15000K...thought the higher Kelvin you went the more purple it became?

I too mentioned the 8000K above. I have 8000K that looks bluer than these in the thread. If anything these ones look like a side angle of 6000K. 10000K is blue as all hell and I'v seen 12000K in person and its a tad on the purple side.

6000k isnt the best for vision. the closest to daylight that your eye can perceive is i believe 4500k. best light output anyways. i like the way they look in your pics. im not a fan of the true blue look...more the inbetween white and blue. i want 3000k fogs in mine. i have the overlays but its not a bettwe light output which i want....just the euro look. im more a fan of functionality than anything. lookin good besides my rambling.

Natural Day light is at around 5600K, +/- a few hundred K depending on the time of day. 15K is actually ultraviolet. from the pics i saw, it looks more like a 6K or 8K HID. all this going on Color Temp. What is the Actual Wattage on them?
