Installed JBarone Short Shift Plate....

alrighty......took about 15 min playing around..moving it back and forth and running through the gears..finaly got it dialed it pretty darn good. Makes a substantial difference. Overal I have improved the shifting of this car over oem by a great deal. Thank you :)

So would adding this just be over the top with a short shift kit with bushings and a rear motor mount? Like just twiching my wrist to change gears?

Has anyone tried this?
 
Would this shifter plate be necessary if you have a STS already installed? I just installed the E4P short throw shifter. I'm intrigued.

It's too stiff to shift. A STSP and a STS combined will not work.
 
I installed mine tonight, but I couldn't get it to stay in 2nd gear. The rest were OK, but it kept popping out of 2nd. Is there a way to fix this? Does the method shown in the video take care of this?

Yes, adjusting the shifter should fix this. Take your time and it will be like butter
 
It basically won't go into second. I had to hold it back in the second gear spot for it to engage (couldn't just put it in gear)...it would pop out about 50% of the time doing it that way. If I just tried to do it normally it either wouldn't go into gear or it would pop out immediately.
 
Sounds like we have an install issue. There are no other reports of this type of thing. I'm going to PM you my cell.
 
Yeah, that's kind of what I was thinking, too. I was going to try again tomorrow after work...it was getting dark when I was installing it, so I may have rushed it a bit. I'm going to try that shifter cable adjustment tomorrow as well...I think that might take care of the problem

Before you do any adjustments confirm the installation. You could only compund the issue if you don't.

You have the directions....Read them carefully. If your you're like me, and most guys for that matter, you may have tossed them. If you need them there on the website. www.jamiesplanet.com
