received and installed my new dog bone today.

the mount is great. very solid design, i could have beat someones ass with it. install was a breeze

start up,
there were some vibes but they felt no different from the cs inserts i had just taken out. with the ac on the vibes arent bad at all. not as bad as su's mm.

you mos def hear the car alittle more mechanically. 1st gear whine is more pronouced. you feel vibes when you take off in first(slight bit of dash vibes.) you also feeel some "drone vibes" ill call them, in the lower rpms.

the exhaust note movves through the car abit more.

man, i put the hammer down in first and 2nd a good bit and damn, tq really gets to the ground now. the car is definitely quicker.

the mount is prefect for those who dont want to sacrifice too much of the "dd" feel and comfort.

for a brand new and unbroken in mount the vibes arent bad at all. worth every penny.

thanks medival and dark for a money ass mount.

i highly recommend this mm everyone

I have the Medieval rear too and love it. $59 is a bargin for a rear mount. I have their aluminum one and it was $100.
If you want to feel some grip, get their traction bars. My wheel hop is almost completely gone. I get a little from time to time. It is very minimal though.

ill do some hard launches. my springs got rid of alot of my wheel hop and viirtually all of my TQ steer.

the MM just puts the power(TQ) down so much better. but imma do some launches and see what the wheel hop is like

yeah, you cant beat 50 for a mount of this quality, performance and comfort

how is your turning radius with the TB's installed?

The turning radius is the same as it was before I installed them. I can turn all the way to either side and there is about 3/4" of an inch between the bar and tire. I'm very happy with them.

I'm not trying to start a fight...but the DS mount seems like a copy of the TRZ. Somehow this bothers me, as if their first offering wasn't good enough and they copied a successful design in return.

Personally, I bought the TRZ (rear and trans set). As a matter of fact, they're sitting right next to me as I type this waiting for nicer weather for the install.

You know...there's quite a few cocksuckers on this board. Thanks for the super informative post there asshole.

"Spreading" false information?

Give me a break.

I don't care what you call it, MM copied the TRZ design. If you can't see it you need to get your eyes checked.

Is clearly a copy of this:

I don't have an ulterior motive here, I just noticed it when MM released their mount, it's a spitting image of the earlier released TRZ unit. It doesn't require a massive amount in intelligence to figure that one out.

nothin like a good ole' fashion cyber mud slinging contest.

Thanks for this helpful review BTW, Im going to be replacing my CS inserts with a full mount in the near future. As it stands its down to the CPE and Medievil.

copy design yes, features no......

most Chinese stuff is copied material of another brand, but manufactured to be cheaper, and guess what, half the stuff you buy in the U.S. is just that, a copy. so if you feel that it bothers you to know its a copy, its kinda an everyday thing in the world you live in, and you buy it one way or another.

and honestly, come on guys, both of the mounts look like a 3 year old on Ritalin could design them with their lego's, theres nothing special about them. they are very basic and probably took a minute to come up with.

Are you ******* kidding me? How many possible ways are there to design a motor mount? Does TRZ have a patent on their design? I'm sure there are motor mounts out there by different companies that look alike.

You notice rpmc inlet people bitching about the medieval inlet? Do you notice BFG and Toyo or Nitto or Bridgestone slinging rocks at each other tire designs? NO.

Don't knock a company for bring another motor mount for the MS3 that rivals the price/performance of all the rest.

if it was a big deal to TRZ they would have patented the design.

all wheels are circular. do you have a problem with that too or should people stop copying and make a square wheel

are you an owners of the TRZ MM?

LOL, medieval makes great products...they powder coat them black and the welds are very nice!

i have their trans mount and pass mount...ftmfw!

Whatever you say there chief, it seems my point is lost on some of you. I guess you're right, they just happen look alike...I'm sure MM never meant for their mount to look like the TRZ unit. Imagine their surprise when they finished the unit and found it to be a dead copy of the TRZ, boy I bet they were shocked!

Yes...I am an "owners" of a TRZ mount.

Dead copy my ass... look how much bigger the bushings are in the Medevil compared to the TRZ. Know what that does?? Helps lower vibrations. Stop being pissed because you paid twice the cost of this for a mount that works the same but has MORE vibes.

I'm not pissed in the least bit, I'm still glad I got the TRZ mount. I will say this though to your "bigger bushings" comment. I'm not buying this mount for comfort, I'm going through this trouble and cost to lock my motor in place. If I wanted more bushing material I'd get inserts. We'll see how that MM mount holds up over time, figuring it's so new there's little info to say how it will come out. My guess, like the others with more bushing material, it will deliver a loss in crisp performance when it breaks in. Let's face it, nothing that performs well in the motor mount/trans/driveline/suspension department adds to or mimics stock comfort when your making it bullet proof and performance oriented. It all makes the ride worse but give things back in return.

To further the anger comment, there's many others that do seem to be pissed. If anything I'm slightly amused that so many apply such personal ownership to an inanimate item they didn't make...like I've insulted a family member or something.

If you want the MM mount, by all means get it...I just find it interesting they copied a design.

...and that's really where my point ends.

I'm pretty sure there's another thread on here where the differences are pointed out and the case is made that the "copy" is supposed to be an improvement over the original.
