I ordered a hood from the guy who is selling the vented hoods for the hatch. The hood was only $99 and it arrived in MINT condition ONE DAY LATER. I was absolutely shocked. I was expecting it to arrive broken to bits. I threw the thing on my car in about 15 minutes and went to cloes the hood. Bad idea. It wasnt flush up by the windshield and subsequently chipped the paint on my car and scratched the carbon fiber. I had to file down the edges a bit and that was that. I just need to get some touch up paint and fix the cips in my car now.

Well, here is the result:

Looks great!

Make sure you put some black sealer paint on the edges of the CF hood as well where you sanded it.

dude it loosk nice! do you feel any improvement?
whqats the weight difference with the stock hood?
can they paint it the same color as your car?

now i want a cf hood so bad......i have said it from day 1.....you have my favorite 3. I think a cf hood with my gunmetal rims/white sedan would look AMAZING

How does it fit? Where did you get it from?

I know some CF hoods you need hood pins do you need any for this one? Is there a gap by the headlights?

I have a cf hood too but mine came with free hood pins and im pretty pleased with quality having bought one off ebay before i was a little iffy about actually buying it but now ive had it for a month or so it was definitley a sick buy id recommend it to everyone

I'll be like this soon. :)

No, it doesnt need hood pins. It secures just like the stock one did. Yes there is a slightly bigger gap by the headlights :\ but I'm not complaining. Yet. The guys ebay id is CarbonProducts.

Thx for the comments.

I used to hate them more than anything. Now I cant wait to get my stock hood off and a cf hood on!

I can maybe see one on a black car, like mine, where it wouldn't stand out so much. Otherwise the car does look clean and in great shape!

I have to agree with MrGone - I think for the car to look really nice it needs a couple other similarly colored part to give it more of a themed look. Still looks nice though. (thumb)
