Whats up all? This sat I installed my TEIN SS COILOVERS and i must say they are ******* AMAZING. I have a question for people that own them? what are yours set at? Also some info for those who are going to get them and install. You need to take the whole interior out of the trunk in order to do it. on the rear i needed to take the calipers off because they had the bolt heads going into the brake lines it sucked. Also the rear sway bar was attached with these terrible allen key bolts that rusted to death on there so i had to remove the rear sway bar still attached to the strut so i will be replacing the oem bar with an awr bar with adjustable end links. should be good the drop is awesome you can set it perfect with a little tape measure or count the threads if it wasnt for the back we would have gotten this done in about 2 hours instead it took about 9. but i am happy with the result. PS anyone know good spot to get some awr products besides protege5 online?

Will post some pics asap

Hey Xtant,
Congrats on the TEIN's....I don't know if you were going straight from stock suspension to the TEIN's or from other spring/shock combo, but howwould you compare the ride quality...is it a lot rougher/harsher? Do the SS's make any clinking or squeaking noises when u go over bumps?

Thanks!
J.J.

Yea i went straight from stock to these but had experince with coilovers on my 3000gt. Anyway the ride is a bit more harsh depending on how you set the dampening and height. I personally am after performance and if the ride is a bit more harsh i am willing to sacrafice for the ability to make turns quicker and smoother. But it is definitely daily drivalbe as long as you reduce the stiffness and make it a bit more soft. I highly recomend them and am still getting used to how awesome they are. Pirana I'll get you guys some pics by tommorow. Nice little photo shoot since i got some mods finally to display.

Congrats!(2thumbs) I also went from stock to coilovers, and I still can't believe the difference. Turn in is LASER-sharp, and the P5 feels like a slot car now.

I looked around, and I'm pretty sure that Mitch is the only online source for AWR parts.(uhm)

yea actually i contaced AWR directly and you can get stuff directly from them. So i'll probobly cut out the middle man and just do that. As for the coilovers. Its seriously amazing i love every second of being behind the wheel of my car even more now.
