Install Cold Air Intake

I have a 2003 Mazda Protege and I need some instructions on how to install a cold air intake that I have....its an ebay one and it fits. But I live in Utah and need to know how to route it and what not but if anyone has some instructions that would be greatly appreciated.

hi im new here and im also having problems installing my short ram intake in my 2002 mazda protege es. Its a vibrant intake and i cant seem to find out how to put it with the maf sensor and the other sensor because everytime i try to put it the plugs dont reach the sensors and i tried every combo i can think of. any info would be great since the kit never came with instructions.

You might even have to splice into your wires to extend them and make them longer. If you want to go the easy ghetto way all i did was buy a filter and slap it on the end of my hose. It all comes right off and you dont have to relocate you MAF. Then for my air flow censor i just drilled a hole in the middle of my cone on the bottom and it works just fine

I was going to do that but I ended up returning it because think I needed to buy an adapter for cone since I didn't know where to put the air temp sensor.. so how does the car feels after installing the cone to make it a short ram? Now that I know I will probably buy the cone again.. what cone did you got? The one I got was a spectre cone from autozone I know its not the best brand but at least it was something to start.
