Anybody have any opinions on this? I will receive it Friday and plan to install my Injen as a short ram. I am now having second thoughts though due to the MAF sensor placement. Does anbody (who has installed it) know if this is going to be a problem? Thanks.

there will be no prob converting it...just dont add the second pipe and place the filter after the maf sensor and make a hole for the IAT sensor.
i suggest trying both cai and sri...do the sri for a couple of days and then try the cai...

There are no negative side affects of not installing the 2nd half of the injen after the MAF, and just attaching your filter there.

Thank your for the replies! One more thing... What did you find was the best to use for the support bracket? Gonna have to work at 3:30 so wanna try to get everything in place. Thanks again.

The only thing you need to worry about with the SRI is the heat. Its still very close to where the fan pushes the air. You really need to make a heat shield if you go with a SRI.

wanna convert to SRI cause I'm fraid of s*** getting sucked into the car (water, tar, etc.)... Is this something that I do not need to worry about???

No problems so far. I have had mine on for about 3 months

So do the sensors stay in their original locations? If not, does that affect the engine or turbo? blah... still trying to decide on cai or sri...

What the hell are you thinking ????? have you even botherd to look were your filter is going? The only way you are going to get anything in to the Injen is if you SINK the front left side of your front-end in to a pool of water and or if you are racing down a dirt road behind some one else and you have a hole in your filter or a piece of s*** filter!

Hell your paying 200 dollars for two piece of aluminum and a few other miner pieces that u can get @ autozone , dont you think injen has did some research on this.

Now if you want to save some money just take th damn filter box off and go to AutoZone and buy a damn cone filter and put it on the MAF , NOW you have ur SRI for about 20 bucks !

Well somewhat, you're still in too much of a 'hot zone' for it to be affective there. Dyno runs say the cone on maf loses power.

ive had my injen CAI from the very first moment it came out last year and have absolutely no issues with it, although i probably should check/clean the filter soon

what's the DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CAI AND RAI??
I have no idea what an RAI is, but a CAI on the MSP generally means the filter is located above the wheel well. A SRI, or Short Ram Intake, means the filter is still located in the engine bay, usualyl somewhere close to where the stock airbox was.
