Injen Cai newbie

I think it's more HYPE-athetical! But I bought one anyway. It does improve throttle response, and feels SLIGHTLY stronger in the upper rpms. Worth 200 smackers? Dunno. But I like it. Just my worthless opinion, as I have nothing to compare it to, other than the stock set-up.

It's just theoretical ceej..... Simma down ;)

I dunno guys....I have been a car guy for a long time, there are a lot of stock factory short ram intakes being put on some very high performance cars these days. I think the whole "A CAI is better because the air is colder" theory is a bunch of crap made up by the folks who make Cold Air Intakes, they charge more etc.

If someone shows me a scientific study that shows one car, doing a dyno run with a stock air cleaner then an SRI then a CAI and show me that the results are that a CAI is better well, THEN I will believe the hype.

but just to point out, a lot of the high performance ones that use sri's have huge fmic's that can cool the intake charge down considerably, basically eliminating the need to start out with cooler air. hype or not, i felt the difference in my car. no other proof is needed for me.

Well.....you can believe the seat of your pants, I will believe a dyno.

But it comes with high-performance stickers and an aerodynamic plate frame!

Well s***! You didn't say that! (nana)

Of course, I didn't use any of them. Didn't want any of the local Ricers chasing me around to get me race them. Oh, already happened? Oh, well.

The Injen is useless without the lisence plate frame. The thermal plastic frame acts as a catalyst to transdefusiate the parameters of the direct cold-air charge by actuating the flange on the release valve while occilating the boost flux. Use of the two included window stickers is recommended as well, as they make me feel like Vin Diesel. Hey anyone notice the pipe fit being very tight against the BPV hose on their injen??....this concerns me although it has never caused a problem.

Very true, Commie. Better run right out and install the aforementioned "performance enhancers", lest I be run down by that riced-out Saturn again! (That would be the third time)

You must destroy the riced-out Saturn...it is your mission from the Lord. Go forth and give him the finger while passing him at 118mph.....

I've actually read about the CAI's having lower intake temps than the short rams. With all the dynos I've looked at and experience ive had, the short rams seem to have better throddle response and the CAI make better peak numbers at the cost of responsiveness.

Too late! I just saw him the other night being turned into a smoking pile 'o plastic dog sh*t by a G35. Junior didn't have a clue, I guess............
