Ingalls Engine Torque Damper Feeler Thread

Good to see all the interest. Lets hope that all this is still here when the product is produced and ready to pay. Keep up the good work lisevolution!!

do you have any updates livesolution?? or are things still just trying to get figured out.

At this point we're in a holding pattern till the begining of the year. I'm still speaking with Grant about another possibility but I can't say more than that at this point since nothing is definite with that. Let's just say I have some personal friends that specialize in engineering that may be helping us out with the development of this for everyone...

Grant was away for a while, he got married so nothing new has developed with this. I'll reach out to him today and see what I can find out

Depending on the drive and where Grant is located, I'll donate my car as well to ensure that this is made for the 1.6 guys as well.

Thats not good...can anyone else step in so we can maybe someday get this product?

My thanks go to lisevolution for directing me to the board. My name is Dan, I am responsible for handling and coordinating the test vehicles here at Ingalls. There is a little bad news. First off is that Grant no longer works for Ingalls and didn't leave much information on what he had worked on (bummer). Which bring about the point that as a result many of the projects he was lining up have fallen by the wayside, so to speak. That doesn't mean that we, Ingalls Engineering, aren't going to persue development; it does mean that it may be delayed a little bit.
My goal is to push for the development of this product line (including the MSP/Protege part numbers). I am excited by the response that this thread has generated, with very little input from Ingalls. I hope to have some good news for all of you in the very near future.
If any of you have questions or comments, feel free to email me at DanJ@IngallsEng.com.
Dan
P.S. Shabaka sorry to hear about the car, hope everything is easily fixed and you're back on the road in no time.

Dan I want to thank you for chiming in here and letting the community know that we haven't been forgotten. I can assure that if you guys make this product it will sell. None of us like the other available option and prefer not to have our teeth rattled out by the constant vibrations supplied by 75dur and higher motor mounts... Please let me know if there is anything else I can do for you.

I'm seeing this thread for the first time but if this project pans out I am 100% sure I'll buy one, unless my car gets stolen or some other unfortunate event.

yeah it's down for quite a while...(it's already been replaced by a yaris)
but the rebuild is now in the works and i'll want this damper as well

I know there are some seriuos Protege people in the Denver area
lets hope one of them is interested

Very interested, I have the front and rear mounts and have strategically placed peices of foam and bath towels under/around certain panels to keep the plastic rattle down...I would buy one of these from ingalls indefinately

Is any progress being made? Haven't read through the recent posts yet, but is their an answer if one of these is going to be made for the "other" 3rd Gen Protege sedan as well? The 1.6 guys? Thanks.

Now that I've decided to keep my car and do a full rebuild. I'm very interested. Any chance of being to stiff and spinning axles? I had a H22 in one of my hatchbacks that was real good and stiff and i spun axles all the damn time.
