no dude. it's on top of the motor, kinda where the strut bar goes. it is right under the strut bar, yes. you might have meant the strut bar. and no, it doesn't replace the motor mounts, you can still get them. all would work best!!

I'm interested so put me on the list. How much? Similar to other applications or what.

Sorry I've been away from this thread for a while guys and it was good to see Grant stop by directly to show his support. In terms of the next step, it comes down to someone in the Denver area letting them do some R&D with their car.

Keep the support coming though so we continue to enhance our chances

Good luck with the bracket fabrication for the side motor mount. Mazda has a very... ugly looking mount for a bracket to sit nicely in there, esp with the ground wire.

If there is anyone in the Denver area please let me know so we can try to get this going!

i'm in denver what all do you need
i e-mailed ingalls and got no reply
I asked him about it, this is what he responded, "Have him shoot me over an email. My Microsoft outlook crashed on me and I have lost all old emails and files in the program." please re-send your e-mail to him at: grant@ingallseng.com

sent him another e-mail waiting for a response
i really hope this gets off the ground
can we get more intrest here...it could only help the process

Id be interested in something like this for my Pro as well. I was looking into buying the Weapon R piece before hearing all the negative feedback about it. I imagine this piece in conjunction with AWR mounts would work wonders for handing up front, correct? Is this going to be available to 1.8 and 2.0 liter guys only or are us 1.6 guys included as well. We are afterall a 3rd Gen Protege as well. Id be down if this is available to me. And every other 1.6 guy as well....

I heard from Shabaka, he let me know that he did get in touch with Grant from Ingalls and they are working out the details to use his car for some R&D. I asked him to keep me/us updated as things progress so everyone here can keep up to date

count me in....

I too am ready to stiff up the motor a bit....thought of maybe just going with a front mount only to minimize vibration and get some extra support under load.

This solution would be easier to install and would clamp the motor down a bit without any additional harshness.....COOL!

That's exactly the point of this... I don't really want to replace the mounts with stiffer one's either and have to deal with the vibration... I figure this nets the results I want and lets me decide how much vibration I need

I guess I need to visit all these forums more often. I've had the AWR front mount and side inserts for a while now yet have not installed them due to laziness and more so the concern of vibration and added ware to the stock rear motor mount.
This engine damper is exactly what I WANT and NEED. Sign me up for one. As far as demand, it should be pretty good seing all the old topics / posts on motor mounts / vibration / bucking, etc. I think most gave up on ever finding a good all around solution to the aformentioned problems.
Sign me up for two if that helps...
