Infotainment issue with IOS 10.0.2

On my 2016 GT CX-5 I am using an IPhone 5s with IOS 10.0.2. Phone syncs up OK but when I send a text while sync'd to the infotainment system the system cannot disconnect itself after the text is sent. The phone phone and infotainment system get hung in a mode similar to making a call but it is not calling. The only way to clear this is to call a favorite and hang up.

Anyone else experience this?
