Last night I installed some Infotainment tweaks via the AIO installer and panicked a bit when I noticed that my phone wasn't disconnecting from the Bluetooth pairing with the car for at least two minutes after I'd powered down, locked and walked away from the vehicle.
I figured one of the scripts broke the functionality, and reverting didn't make any difference. I was doubly concerned when my wife's MotoX exhibited the same behavior as my Nexus 5.
Before I took the time to flash the stock firmware back to the system I drove back to the dealership and tested this all out on a new 2016 Mazda3. Turns out that it's not my CX-5 at all, exact same behavior was observed on the stock 55.00.753 (North America) firmware in the 3.
Are any of you experiencing this?
I wouldn't have noticed it except that I use Tasker and Llama to automate specific actions when the BT disconnects from the car (and I'm at home vs not), such as locking the phone with a password or tweaking the brightness settings.
To test:
From what I can tell the Infotainment system is failing to issue the disconnect command to the paired device, and instead the device is left to timeout (around 2-3 minutes on my Nexus 5). Using the DISCONNECT menu item within Infotainment BT settings breaks the connection instantly, so I know the system is capable of ending the session properly if it wants to.

To test:
- Either get the car running or turn on in accessory mode
- Ensure your paired phone is finished connecting and is ready to use
- Kill the engine or move from accessory mode to vehicle off condition, open and close door to simulate leaving the car
- Is your phone still connected via BT?
