easy solution: get the motor, skip the harness, and run a stand-alone ecu.
better yet, skip the motor, build the one you have, and get a turbo kit.
If you intend on re using your ECU all you need to do is swap the fuel line from the DE onto the ZE
Thx for ur input well swap comes with the ecu for it and harness but was told I need the dash harness???So much wrong info on here...
The motor will pretty much plug into stock harness
Regular protege ecu might run it but you'll want to get an mp3 ecu and an ssafc to get your monies worth
The crank pulley will have to be swapped out as well
There's a lot of info on the swap
So mp3 ecu will make it run like the fs ze one? And then everything will plug and play with stock harness etc?I think it's only for the speedometer but it's where the abs is used for the speedometer. If you use the mp3 ecu it won't be a problem. Also if you use the fsze ecu you'll be going to obd1
Not quite like the fsze one but it will run it. I would suggest getting some sort of piggy back though. Iirc it's pretty much plug and play there may be something's there that's not but you could probly swap the sensor and plug from the de. The motors are basicly the same except pistons, cams, and intake mani.
And everything is fine ? What ecu?Hey rico i just asked someone i know who has put in a fs-ze in and he did not use a dash harness.
And everything is fine ? What ecu?
Is he in the us? what all he had to do to use the fs ze ecu?And everything is fine ? What ecu?
He has the ZE ECU and it's evil man the car goes so good
You have to use the FSZE ECU to be able to extract all the 170hp of that engine....with the stock one the timing of the valves wont be good and you wont be able to run at 100%. Get the FSZE and harness, i'm sure that it'll be better that way ^^ Anyways, from the last time I checked it seemed like the best way. (unless someone was able to find another one)
