When you buy a "brand new" tire it might already be several years old and that is not a good thing.

my parents saw this when i bough my new wheels and tires in april and freaked, but i did my shopping carefully, tires were less than a month of the assembly line

Checked my wife's car and my car. Her's were made in 2006 mine were made in 2007.
