It sucks you broke you needles, but thanks for being a guinea pig. :)
Glad to see you are back on your feet. Hope your recovery goes, well

I bet it does. The auctions states 99-02 protege. They just don't look like P5 guages to me. Will they work?

If they do, that is a cheap @$$ price

I'm trying to figure out how you dont have to take the needles off. These gauge plates sit behind the main gauge plate (the black one in stock cars). You'd still have to take everything out, it seems to me. Unless these are actually stickers. Hmm.

Accually the holes on these look big enough to just slide them right over the needles. When you install these, you never accually take out the original face, you just cover them.

Ah, I was worried about that. Darn.

Hey Patrick...welcome back!

Are you planning on being a guinea pig too for these new ones? I seem to recall a long time ago that someone bought gauges that supposedly didn't need to remove the needles either, but that claim was bogus and they ended up busting their needles too. :(

I'd be a guinea pig for it as I would just love to have blue gauges(I'd REALLY REALLY like to have blue numbers tho...any help?), but the 30 american is a bit steep for me to pay only to find out it's worthless. We'll see tho I guess.

Good Luck

I want to change my gauges too, but to scared to break anything. Especially hearing people breaking their needles. So I guess I'll just wait till you install yours and If it works out fine. Then I'll be the next guinea pig.
Good Luck...

I'd much rather have the stock guages with blue numbers instead of the indiglos. Supposedly there are some coverings on the guage lights behind the actual faces, but removing those still yields a orange-ish light due to the painting on the faces themselves. If we could somehow get the paint off and repaint them with a blue translucent paint it would be nice...

The funny thing is that mine were advertised like that too (no need to remove needles), but the pictures showed smaller holes. These accually look like they will slide over the needles.

I broke a set of guages too linux.

Dont get the ones on the picture.. The holes are actually a LOT smaller.

Nopi.com has the hold cluster, (well they did, i dont know if they still do.)

Thanks! If you cut them, does the indiglo liquid leak out?

Ehhh, there is no liquid, heh heh. It's just like cutting a normal piece of plastic. If you'd like installation instructions check my website, there's a how-to on it.
