in gear doesn't prevent car from rolling?

The engine isn't big enough. Park at a curb, and turn the wheels toward it. Old school. Also, you can get wheel chocks at Walmart fairly cheap.

So no dice on the bump start for the 2?
Weird. Even single cylinder motorcycles won't roll in gear, so I'm pretty sure it's not the engine size.

This is how we were taught to drive/Park a Manual car when i learned how to drive. Manual cars even in the 80's and 90's would roll down a hill in gear if its a steep enough hill. This isnt something new, or just effecting Mazda2's. lol

How steep is this incline? I've never really had a problem with that TBH, but I guess that's to do my reliance on the e-brake.

Just had to bump start my 2 yesterday thanks to me draining the battery by accident. so yeah bump starts work.
