recalls usually are only for safety concerns. I'm not 100% but emissions might be under a recall if it is determined the vehicle does not meet standards... but there was a couple PCM reflashes for the CX-7, and reflashes affect emissions, so a PCM reflash would need a sticker. i have to go through all the tsb's again to see.
but i do know i need the reflashes, serious lag below 3,000krpms then a big kick in power. and while cruising it downshifts from 6th gear with the slightest pedal input. although i noticed when you turn cruise control on you can press the pedal a little more before it downshifts. but still, it downshifts out of 6th way before it needs to.
