Image Upload issues

I recently made a post that I wanted to add pictures to. When I try to drag and drop the image (.jpg, about 5mb in size) into the text box, I get the following error:



When I refresh the page, I can drag and drop the same image with no problem.

Just a heads up!

I got the car back from the shop a few days ago. It looked good, but I had to bring it back because the shop had to re-do the alignment and also polish out some holograms from their rotary polisher.

The body shop replaced and painted the outer door shells, replaced the lower plastic trim and brightwork on the doors, and replaced the front wheel fender trim. They also repainted the front fender (had some scuffs from the collision) and the rear quarter panel. The partial PPF that was on the front fender was replaced as well. Lastly, the windshield was also replaced with OEM glass. No more...

It's happened for me on two separate posts in different threads. I've only tried on my work PC, haven't tried on mobile or personal.

I had a similar error when I tried to link a YouTube video with the Media control.

Don't mean to hijack, but they might be related. If an admin tries to edit this post, they will see the video code not working. So all prior posts using this are not showing, and I can't seem to make new posts using the function without an error message similar to the above.

Thanks for the info, Mike...Is this the first time this has happened? I wonder if it's an issue with your work pc/browser/network...Is the logo image still broken for you?

I've tried uploading various images in various ways (including in your thread) and I'm not encountering any issues.

Still investigating...

Thanks for the heads up...Did this work before? Are you dropping a YouTube link in..? I believe the "Insert video" icon/option is only for video files and not links.

For YouTube videos, simply paste the link directly in with your post text. No need to use the "Insert video" option.

Note I've just updated "Insert video" to "Insert video file" for more clarity.

Testing posting a YT link directly into a post...

Ahh…Ok…I see what you mean. The issue you were experiencing is unrelated to the image upload one. There were no sites approved for media insert (didn’t think anyone was using the option anymore). I’ve enabled YouTube now so your video embeds should appear…I’ve also enabled auto-embed temporarily as I’m concerned it may affect site performance. If auto-embed is enabled, you do not need to utilize the media insert option.

I’ll be monitoring to see if auto-embed affects site performance.

Ps…Testing auto-embed…

Great to hear! Thanks for the followup and confirmation...Yeah, perhaps just a one off glitch, I didn't come across anything on my end and no related reports...Let's hope it stays that way!
