im new but drive a 626

was going on people. any ways im new to this forum,i found this website wen i was looking for some parts to my Mazda and decided to become a member. I live in houston ,i have a DD 94 626 with a 2.0 and auto trans. here are some pics.

Welcome! The 626 section doesn't get a lot of traffic. =/

I'd recommend investing in an external transmission cooler if you don't already have one because the auto is a known weak point!

i'm actually thinking of swapping out the engine and tranny for something newer out of like a 2000 Mazda 6 or Mazda 3

Those engines won't bolt up. It would take a great deal of custom fabrication, especially for the wiring situation. I'm not saying it's not possible, but IMHO, it's not worth it. You can however swap in a v6 from a 626/Probe GT/MX6 or turbo charge the 4cyl that you've got much easier than the swaps you mentioned. There's lots of info out there for those options.
