I have heard I should reset my ecu after I swap the intake .... How do I do that? my moms boyfriend owns a body shop any chance he would be able to do it or do i need to bring it to a dealer or can I just do it myself?

Just unhook the battery -/+ wires for a few minutes then hook it back up.You may want to just unhook it before you start working on the car then hook it back up when you are done.
Thats it..

and If i want to get better mileage ease up on the gas for the first 100 miles right? also I'm thinking about doing an oil change and motor mounts at the same time tommorow. oil change and motor mounts should be quick in my opinion compared to mounting intake

One of the first steps in the instructions is to remove the negative ground cable from the battery. There's your reset right there.

Yes,If you want better gas mileage just ease on the gas and stay out of the turbo.

any other tips, or things I should be aware of? I will be installing mine this weekend too...

take the driver's side front wheel off, remove the access panel, under belly cover and I went as far as to loosen the inner fender well to gain some wiggle room. I have large hands and sausage fingers. I'm a lesbian's dream.

Just leaf through the instructions and get an idea about what you are doing. It's not hard. It's just something you need to be thorough with. The air deflector is unfun. I manhandled mine until it broke.
