I picked up my Black MSP Yesterday:D :D :D :D
I thought for a while I was going to miss out on
this amazing car, but I guess faith brought us together.
I am a little pissed right now though, as im typing my
new MSP is sitting sideways across my driveway stuck
in snow. When I was younger, you couldn't keep me
away from snow, but now just the thought of snow
gives me migraines.
I really don't know how I'm getting her out & had I
known that it was going to snow again, I would have
put her away for the night. By the time I got home
from over 500 miles between yesterday &
today, the snow had coverd what was ice from the
last snow fall.

So now that Mazda owns me, if I may, I would
like to give my review.

I LOVE IT!!!!!!!! Bottom line is the car is worth it.
This is my first Turbo car, so I find my self forgetting to
let here idle for a while before I turn her off... NEED turbo
timmer.
I got up at seven in the morning, went straight to the car &
took her around some back roads. When I went to pick her
up it was all about the kenwood & blasting it, but this time out
I turned the kenwood off & enjoyed the sound she made
while we made love through the back roads, if you get what
I mean. second, third & fourth seamed to let you know the
turbo is alive. Even as I maintained her below 4000rpms, she
reminded me that making the big monthly payments pays
off when I'm dirving this car. I had total confidence when
taking a 20mph turn @ 50mph & then clearing the straightaway
through the gears soooooooo smoth.
I could keep on all day about this car, so for those who are still
waiting.........KEEP WAITING.

Oh PS. I heard the "CLUNK" too, but didn't pay much attention
to it, it happened maybe twice.(mspo)

Hey
Congradulations on your new MSP!
I know exactly how you feel...it was one of the best days of my life when i went to pick up my car as well....

When you drive it you feel like you're the only one with this car, because it's so limited. Anyway, Enjoy your car and do let it idle for about 30 seconds before you turn off the ignition.

The pull is addictive at 3500rpm and on wards, huh? Try over taking someone on the freeway crusing in 5th at about 110km/h...without downshifting, just put the throttle down a bit and once that turbo spools up faster, you'll be passing everyone with ease! The first time i did this, i was so surprised the nice amount of torque it has. I wonder what a Porsche GT2 feels like with Twin Turbo though?=)(guns)

Have fun!:D

i damn neer soiled myself in my friends twin turbo'd 3rd gen RX-7. with a few minor upgrade that thing should come with a warning that you may not be able to remove the permanent s*** eating grin you'll be sporting from ear to ear once you take a ride. and this thing still has its stock twins. can't imagine what a nice single would do to that car.

anyways man, congrats on the new car. take it easy on your new girl for a little while till its broken in properly. oh yeah, i hope you got the scotchgaurd protectant for those seats if your going to be "making love" to it

I took my stepson out in my MAZDASPEED yesterday for the first time for a little 'Back Road Boogie'. He was quite impressed, to say the least. I live out in the country away from Memphis in Oakland, TN. 'Lots of nice country roads, and we found a nice spot with a decent stretch, and I opened it up to 110 mph. Awesome!

I have never driven a GT2 Twin Turbo Porsche, but I did have the pleasure of driving a new (in 1987) M6 BMW (635 Hot Rod!! Ha!) $60,000, and also, a friend of mine had a 1987 928S Porsche. I drove it, and it was really nice.

Acceleration like the Porsche GT2 is much like an original Cobra 427, with numbers like 0-60 in under 4 seconds. It has to be amazing, to say the very least!! Or how about a modern day Formula 1 car? Michael Shumacher (in 1995) took his Benetton F1 car from 0 - 130 - 0 mph in 7.5 seconds!! Amazing numbers, for sure. And; it ain't no dragster, folks!! It's a car that can corner, and de-celerate like no other. It's the most technical form of racing car in the world. Period.

The 2002 Ferrari F1 car (or any of the top F1 cars) can hit 60 mph from a dead standstill in about 2.5 seconds or 100 mph in about 4 seconds. I had the pleasure of attending the 2000 U.S. Grand Prix in Indianapolis. It was a dream come true for me, and my wife loved it as well. There is nothing like seeing F1 live, and I have seen it all. Those V10s rev to near 19,000 rpms. Very impressive on Speed Channel, but nothing compares to witnessing live Formula 1.

 :D

I accually had the pleasure of riding in a BNR Turbo'd 3rd Gen RX-7 this weekend, and let me tell ya...I could not lean forward! It was having problems that day, so it was only making a little over 300 WHP that day, but normally it makes about 450 WHP!!! Sooo Fast!!

where in NY are you by the way?

I'm up in dover, NY. off of route 22.
I'm having so much fun in my MSP, I can't wait till summer.
Also can't wait till I see a orange MSP up close, hey
Slug any new info???????
I remember you saying something about first week
of Feb., is that still the latest news........

yep still the latest news!

ill let you know when im going to be picking it up.

BTW, what was your final price? including TTL.....any undercoating/rustproofing or anything?....and di you pay CT tax or NY?

Mention this comment to anyone and ask them what car they think is being spoken about? I believe most would naturally assume some sort of high end sports car or even super car...Ferrari...Porsche....Corvette.

I doubt other sport compact car makers are receiving comments of love making...lol.

Zoom Zoom (wink)

Antoine, that is the gayest smilie I have ever seen, haha.

Hey slug, I got rapped.... $23304-
At first I was all happy about paying CT tax,
but sense I'm registering the car in NY, I have
to pay NY tax. So yeah, I'll be paying more then
you, NY tax is 7.25%, while CT is 6.00%, as you know.
I didn't ask about undercoating/rustproofing, so I
don't know if any of it was included, must have been
all the excitement.
But anyway let me know when you get yours, I have
dealer plates now & when my permanent plates come
in I have to take these back....

Yes your right, but I felt so in tune with the car, just me
& my MSP on the road, no one else. It really felt intimate,
I was so happy that the need to say we made love
felt right on point. This was just feeling though, not
that I "came" or anything.
Also seeing how I most likely will never own a Ferrari, Porsche, Corvette, I may as well feel this way about my MSP, it's the best car that I ever onwed...... :D

I want to see some real-life lighting pictures too. The only pics I've seen of the grey have been under fluorsecent lights, or at the autoshow under lighting made to make the cars look good.

Hey man great news, believe me I want to see your
car, but I just got my car in the garage yesterday.
This was the first time I got it in there, it was stuck
out on my driveway ( driveway is like 80' long ) from
sunday night. This thing did not want to move, my
driveway is all iced up from last snow fall. Lets see
how Fri. looks, maybe I'll be able to get her out &
will take some cool pics side by side.....
Are you going to that meet at the Roosevelt mall in
Long Island on Sat.? Cause if I can't make it Fri. then Sat.
can become a possibility.......
