that is sweet, i am happy for you and your wife
I find it funny to be reading a nice or down right sweet post and then turn to see the name of the poster and it ends up being someone named "WillKill".
(rofl)

Oh and by the way congrat's on the good news(cool)

We were accidentally shopping last week (don't ask) and found some baby clothes that we had to buy. These were the first baby clothes we'd bought for the kid ourselves, and we had to get them 'cause they were all car themed! We grabbed one shirt that said "street racer" on it, and another with "24 hour parking" on the lower back of the shirt, with an arrow pointed down! Pretty funny.

After grabbing the street racer shirt I turned to Dru (my wife) and said: "we're going to be the coolest dorks at the autocross this summer!"

Anyway, it freaks me out to be buying kids stuff and saying "how cute" and all that, but I'm looking forward to having the kid around.

Never thought I'd contribute to the overpopulation problem. I guess perhaps I'm trying to stem the tide of stupid by (hopefully) raising a thinker like myself!

Anyway congrats to you all, and good luck. We'll need it!

Congrats. It's exciting to do everything with the visits and ultrasounds for the first time. Just make sure to plan for MANY sleepless nights and spending LOADS of cash on the baby. Kids are expensive these days. And try to stay away from brand name high dollar clothes. It only takes one milk spit up or dirty diaper to stain an outfit you just spent $50 on. If nothing else, start saving a little money on the side every week for the next few months. And if you remember nothing else.... remember that the outfit you just bought him one month ago will not fit the next... just fyi. lol
This right here is the truth! I gave the same advice to my daughter's mom. She didn't listen to me. I mean, why buy name brand clothes when they don't even care about them yet? Why start worrying about it 5 years too early? lol! I used to help my mom run her own daycare when I was growing up, so I had a little experience. She finally came around....

Also, sweetcool, my daugther accually slep thru the night most of the time. :) Was great!!

Thanks!! :) I will agree with the clothing part. SHOP EBAY!! They have lots of clothing on there. You get it for a steal!! Its like getting a whole wardrobe! Of course I have a little girl and buying her clothes is SO much fun so she has way too much anyways. But I would definatly check out ebay.

Diapers... White Cloud from Walmart. Thats all you need to know! :) Luvs are definatly second best.

Anyways heres to the next 9 months! Enjoy it... b/c although I LOVE my baby girl ... once they are out you cant put them back in! lol :)

the best place to get clothes at good prices is "Once upon a child".. its a resale shop for clothes, beds, toys, shoes.. etc... all the way from infant to T5. love that place.

i agree on the name brand thing... the kids don't wear it long plus they don't even know what it is... not to mention if the kids wear name brand now.. and they grow up in name brand they will soon become one of those materialistic kids.. that demands the name brands when they are older...

Pampers are the best diapers but the wipes suck. You want Huggies wipes. Spend the money and get the good stuff for your baby. Mine is almost 2 and these are the best. Just name the kid something cool. Pick a normal name not some wacko set of letters.

this is a little off topic but Leadfoot how much for a bezal?
The GB is closed right now, and I have my work cut out for me, but I ran the GB at $100 a piece. Stay tuned to the thread (in the AV/AMM section) as I may allow new names towards the end of February. There's plenty of people that still haven't made deposits, so thier slots are in "limbo"...but I'm giving everyone the benefit of the doubt with lots of time.

Names are Above...we've had them picked for a while. It's Jack Kenneth if we have a boy, and Ava Marie if we have a girl. I've heard good things about both Pampers & Luv's as far as diapers so far.

I totally agree with the no-name brands until thier older...I didn't wear name brands until I was 13! There's no reason for it....kids outgrow stuff to damn fast. I'll have to check out the "Once upon a child" place! Thanks!

Becareful with the no brand name thing. Some of the kids clothes are crap some are good. You can totally feel the difference. Some T shirts and ones-es you can see through. You wash them once and they fall apart. Osh Bgosh is good stuff, the Walmart stuff is crap. Carters stuff is OK.

Thanks...I'm sure my wife will make sure we don't buy the bad stuff (she worked at Osh-Kosh for a while). I'm thinking that things like shoes & stuff we'll stay away from the big names. Nike = BIG $$$, etc... Clothes we'll probably go on a case-by-case basis... Of course the babies gonna be spoiled rotten by the Aunts, Uncles & Grandparents for the expensive clothes, so we'll probably just have to buy the basics, which we shouldn't have to stick with the name-brands for (at least too much anyways).

garber onies are good.. and carters stuff is good... if you have a "once upon a child" or Babies r us where you are.. go there.. they have good stuff.. and babies r us has good sales..
