I'm getting married!

it rains there more that it does on oahu. i'm not sure what is on kauai since iniki hit it. they lost a lot of their hotels. the hotels are still rotting away and that's some 10+ years ago, closer to 13 years ago. i guess the tourist spot is kaanapali? i haven't been there in so long, i forget what's there and i usually stay with a relative if i do go. you go there to do absolutely nothing except relax...well, i do anyways. i think you can go see the stairway to heaven? i forget what island that was on.

don't want to scare you; but we're having a busy season and if you're staying in a vacation rental on a beach, those are the on the front line of a nice beating in the event of a storm.

to quote iron maiden... run to the hills! lol

Okay, here's an easy one, where are the beaches with the great sunsets?

on oahu go to ko'olina the beaches are like in the movies and s***... in nicer words "it is very nice" :D

and remember the sun sets in the west so as the sun goes down, head west :) and I also recommend going to yokohama bay, the furthest west as the road goes on oahu and also check out makua cave on the way there... its a cave off to the side of the road and across the street is a semi-cliff where you can take pictures worth blowing up and framing it to display on your wall...

i don't know if yokohama would b so safe 4 him. if u go there, may as well bring a 4X4 and rip it to the other side! hehe. mokuleia is nice. sometimes you can race the sunset. it's fun. a lot of the mokuleia land has become safe to enjoy since the feds came in and cleaned out a lot of the junk in there. mokuleia or sunset beach, or koolina for a sunset on the beach...and gotta love them plantation style homes. peace

I have never been to Hawaii, but congrats on getting married. I got married in April and am loving it.

Is the water so rough on the north shore in November that it would be difficult to enjoy?

yes and no. in november the winter swells come in which hit the north/west facing shores. but the no part is that there is not always swells that hit so its all about timing. but think of it this way, if a huge winter swell comes in you will see waves so big and surfers surf them like you never saw before. and you still have the south and east shore beaches to enjoy... :) and koolina is always calm ;)
