AMD 4000 clawhammer=360ish
1 gig of XMS Ram=120 x 2=240
1 BFG 6800 256mb = 309 x 2 = way to much lol
MSI K4N plati SLI motherboard=120

then add in a Rosewill case=58, Rosewill 500 watt PSU=38 it all came out to around 1200ish. Used my harddrives and DVD burners/CD drive from my old computer. Will eventually upgrade the Harddrives to a SATA raid, but all in due time.

If you want to save money the BFG 6600 are much cheaper with 128 mb of ram but memory wise are just as fast as the 6800. Put two 6600 in SLI and it will perform very well.

Could also swap the processor for a 3500 which are around 230ish. All bought from newegg

Just spread the purchasing out over a few months, all this took around 4 months to buy.

only 500w for two 6800? Do you play CS:source? Do you play WoW? if so what FPS do you get?

I don't have WoW loaded yet, spent most yesterday installing drivers and BF2 which I played with all high and anti lasing on 4x with no problems. Didn't check what the FPS were though.

On 3d Mark 2001 I scored somewhere in the 22k range. This score doesn't transfer to the newer ones so can't compare. But thus far it takes all thrown at it just fine.

while playing counter-strike source with my 7800GT on 1280x1024 with everything turned on. 4x anatlising and 16 antrosopic.. I dont know how to spell those two words.. I get only about avg of 60 fps or so... kinda disappointed.. I wanted better performance for how much money i spent.

man i dont even get that... I have 1280x1024 on high plus 24-bit 6x or something like that on.. Plus all the shaders I only get about 40 - 50 fps in Ogrimmar.

Well in IF I get like 35-45. My avg is around 55-60 though. Either way its smooth.

only a few lvl 60s have that armor on my server, it takes forever to get AB rep. I love the defiler armor, great for my rogue build.

I am addicted as well. I began my quest in late august and now 4 months later I have spent nearly 600 hours loged into the game. I have a level 60 epic warrior and I love hot pockets. Enjoy the revival of this thread! The expansion comes out 1/16/07!
