If you got the clunk, I need to know before Wednesday!

Well guys, I really hope this is it. I feel really confident about it. It is going to take some time though. We all know how easy it is to think the car is fixed, only for it to come back a month later. I kept stressing this over and over. We are looking at 2 months in my opinion ( they didn't give me a time frame) before we see any real progress

Of course, as I'm updated....you will be.

take care, and thanks again to all that helped.

I can't wait for this to be over. While it may seem I've only had a one or two meetings with people here and there, between the hours of emails to R.B. and Mazda of C. , my dealer, conference calls while I'm at work, going back and forth to the dealer on my dinner breaks....I'm just tired. I want this to finished before I fall over exhausted.

Good work man,
Let us know if we can do anything or if we should.

How the hell did you pull all this off anyways?

Go Canada :)

Great work Newf .. if you ever make it to Toronto, or any of us end up vacationing in Newfoundland (Targa NFLD maybe? :) ) you'll be sure to be treated to many rounds of beer (or whatever is your beverage of choice).

I hope they do find a real permanent and professional fix for this, as it seems they intend to. Obviously Mazda has many years of experience building high performance race cars so they should get it right as long as the suits and bean counters allow them to.

Cheers.

Way to go, newf! Did they mention when they will provide you with an update? (whether or not they have a fix?)

I hope they get it fixed before my 3-year warranty runs out ...

Newf,
First of all, CONGRADULATIONS man. Check your pvt and E-mail me man. I would like to know about my part in case if they ask me to bring my car in. Any ways its going to go in on Monday to get all the bushings replaced, I ask them to have a look at my Engine mount when I drop it off on Monday. Every tie I release my clutch it jerks and when Im on the free way if I let the gas pedal go it jerks too (feel like some one hit me from behind). Lets see what happens.
Later man

Newf, you did a very good job! Congradulation!!! (thumb)

Unfortunately I miss it and didn't saw this thread in time, too busy right now. But I'm sure they will find a fix for everybody because of your hard work... and the participation of every body here.

Once again GOOD WORK NEWF!!!

His idea involves some sort of bearing type of bushings that will allow the sway bar to move more freely without noise, but might stiffen the ride some.
I can't remember the exact name for this, but it's a metallic bushing instead of something flexible.
Race cars use them. WRC cars use them. They allow the suspension to move only in the directions it is designed to move, and does not allow any flexibility the way rubber/polyurethane bushings do.
Having only these in your suspension would make for a very harsh ride.
Using them for swaybars? I don't think it would effect the ride characteristics much.
I don't know for sure, but I don't think they EVER wear out.

DAMN Newf, that is some good stuff
I'm attempting to get the same string of events going in the US through my dealer who has also been great, and mentioned somthing about a regional mgr my last time in...kind of like when you were starting out on this...hopefully we can get the states represented just as well...(because we can't just assume that because all of this great stuff is happening up north, it will flow down here)
Thanks again...(drinks)

Way to go Newf!

I only picked up on the thread after you were already talking to the guy yesterday (sorry, work keeps getting in the way of my life) otherswise I could have posted my info too.

Again thanks and way to go!

Brian

Thanks for all the work and determination Newf. If they need another Guinea pig.....let me know. They can lend me an RX-* for my troubles! Ha Ha!

MS MSP - Spicy Orange

good s*** newf. You are possibly the most determined person I have ever heard of. Just curious do they know that the msp has the same problem?

Yes, I made it very clear that the MSP was the same way. Actually, they brought it up to me first, so they are aware of it.
